I
feel it is important for people to know who will be handling their most
precious photographs. "A face to the name" as they say.

I have had a passion for Photography since I was 11 years old. By the time I
was in my teens I was often told I "Had the Eye"..
I took Photography in high school than during the years I raised my
family I continued to study and practice photography skills on my own.
In 2003 I took classes at Rio
Salado College to learn Web Page design and Photoshop.
I use a Dell
PC with Windows XP, a Cannon
Printer and a
Wacom Graphire
Pen Tablet and my most important tool,
Adobe Photoshop.
I can appreciate how important an irreplaceable photograph is. So
when I am doing a restoration I give it the same care and attention as if
it were my very own. --- I know first hand the feeling of
loosing heirloom photographs to fire;
When my Father retired in 1982 he traveled in his motor home for 10
years. He kept all of the family photo albums with him in his RV. Many
albums were from my childhood and others were family heirloom
albums from the late 1800's to 1950's.
4-18-1992 ...
My Dad was driving Southbound on I-5 in out of Indio CA. ..
A leaky fuel line under the hood caught fire ...
He had no way to fight the blaze himself and the fire engines arrived too
late.
His motor home was burned completely....

By looking at the damage to the RV it is
amazing
that anything was salvageable.

Many
old photographs were destroyed
completely
or beyond repair but
somehow
many others survived.

man on the bench is my Great Grandfather)
If I would have had the technology at my fingertips 20 years ago as I do
now, I would have scanned all those heirloom photographs and copied
them onto disks. Of course I wouldn't of had the originals after the
fire, but at least I would have the digital images of all that were
completely destroyed and now gone forever.
Good quality CD's will last 100 years or more. And if each family member
had their own copy it would be nearly impossible for family heirloom
images to be lost forever from an unfortunate occurrence such as fire or
flood.
Although most of the business I get is from custom designed business and calling
cards. Requests for my
restoration
and special effect
services are steadily growing as word is getting out.
The first photo I ever restored was the only print I had of a special
photograph. Like many people do but shouldn't, I kept it in my wallet. One
day as I loaded groceries in the back of my truck I set my wallet on the
tailgate and forgot I had put it there. Somewhere down the highway it fell
off . I later found it and all it's contents scattered across the
highway. I found the picture but it had been run over probably several
times...
a few hours later....

I have since done many restorations
and special effect editing
for
family and friends and now I can do it for you too !
My prices are affordable because it is affordable to me.
I work in my home during my spare time, I do not have employees and all my
equipment is paid for so for the time being , my overhead is low.
BUT,
I DO want to GROW ... I will need better equipment for a studio SO, I REALLY
APPRECIATE your business!!
Whatever your needs may be. Let me know and you can feel secure that I
will treat your order as if it were my very own.
