"Major"  restoration  ~ ( 3 or more hours) 

Before;

Removed yellowing , stains and tape marks, restored 

missing areas that were torn off  and enhanced contrast.

After;

 "Minor" restoration ~ (Less than 1 hour)

 I removed the yellow and fading  from  the effects of aging 

and  than  "framed" it with a little texture.

(This  took close to 4 hours to restore. )

    The family of this woman cherished this photograph of their mother the most because it was how they "remembered her before she became ill."  It  had faded  a great deal  from being on display in a frame for  over 40 decades. 

  3 hours  later ...

   Her children actually opted for a less "dramatic" restoration   because they felt the one above was too  much change and didn't portray "the person she was". 

      This is one of my own very sentimental and irreplaceable photographs. 

Christmas 1966.

As I was sorting  through  the manila folders of photos that my Father had salvaged from the fire (story on the "About Me" page), 

  I found this one among only 3 others in the folder labeled "1966".   This is the only photograph  of our Mothers last  Christmas .

    My sister and I with our Mother only a couple months before Cancer took her from us...

  So you can see how I can easily empathize with others who have equally meaningful photographs and this is why I give the same care and attention to them as my own.
